Geography - Meteorology Minor

The Geography - Meteorology Minor provides students with meteorological knowledge for related fields such as aviation, atmospheric chemistry, oceanography, or geology that will ultimately benefit them in their future careers. Students who wish to be employed full-time as a meteorologist should major in meteorology rather than seek a minor.

Careers with a Meterology Minor

With a minor in meteorology, students are prepared for careers where meteorology is a leading but not dominant aspect of their career. Examples include: careers in the aviation industry; careers in environmental science, air quality, atmospheric chemistry, or with the Environmental Protection Agency; and graduate training in oceanography, geology, hydrology, or related fields.
