Jesús Pagán worked as a welding engineer for Newport News Shipbuilding, a robotic welding applications engineer for OTC Daihen-USA in Dayton, Ohio, and started his own company Zeus Robotics at the Innovation Center. He later joined the faculty and staff at Ƶ where he has worked for the Institute for Sustainable Energy and the Environment, the Center for Algal Engineering Research and Commercialization, and the Innovation Center as a field engineer for the NIST Hollings Manfacturing Extension Partnership (MEP). He is currently pursuing his doctorate in mechanical engineering.

Research Interests: robotics, energy, additive manufacturing, welding automation
