String Day
Calling all violinists, violists, and cellists! Spend a full day at ÃÛèÖÊÓÆµ immersed in music-making, learning, and inspiration alongside world-class performers and faculty. This free event is designed to give high school musicians a taste of life as a music student, while offering unique opportunities to grow as a player.
Whether you’re considering majoring in music, want to strengthen your playing, or are simply curious about ÃÛèÖÊÓÆµâ€™s vibrant music community, this is a can’t-miss opportunity to connect, learn, and be inspired.

9:30 AM - Coffee Social – Meet other passionate string players, OU faculty, and current students.
10:00 Am - Chamber Music Seminar: Chamber Music Deconstructed – Explore the art of small ensemble playing with professional musicians.
11:00 AM - Chamber Music Masterclass – Watch and learn as the Callisto String Quartet coaches participants and OU students.
12:00 PM - Lunch & Campus Tours – Get a feel for campus life and see what it’s like to study music at ÃÛèÖÊÓÆµ.
1:00–4:00 PM - Violin, Viola, & Cello Masterclasses – Receive individualized guidance from Callisto Quartet members and OU string faculty.
4:00 PM - Callisto String Quartet in Concert – Experience an inspiring performance by this acclaimed ensemble.
