Bio

Julia is an HTC alumna with an academic background in history, political science, and teaching English as a foreign language.

Before returning to the Honors Tutorial College as a staff member, she worked as a teacher. The first year after graduation, she taught English and math in Cleveland. For the next two years, she taught English in Germany as a Fulbright Scholar. She then taught government and political science to students in Washington, D.C. through the non-profit Close Up Foundation. She has also been tutoring English learners online for over three years.

In her spare time, she enjoys writing, traveling, practicing yoga, arranging music, reading, rock climbing, speaking German, petting cats, and spending time with friends and family.

Now serving as the Assistant Director of Recruitment for Honors and Scholars, she continues her commitment to students and the value of lifelong learning.
