'Let’s Talk About Loss' with author Anthony Webb on Feb. 3

After a challenging few years, many people may be struggling with grief over a lost loved one. On Feb. 3, the Ebony Bobcat Network: Cincinnati/Dayton Alumni, in conjunction with the Ƶ Alumni Association, will sponsor a virtual event titled, with author Anthony Webb.

“Loss is hard, at any stage in life. During this pandemic, we have had to deal with loss on a different level than ever before,” said Jocelyn Johnson, assistant director of Network and Volunteer Management at Ƶ. “Anthony Webb will guide a discussion on coping with loss with helpful suggestions and he will also give a brief overview of his book, ‘In the Garden’ which deals with the loss of a family member.”

Webb is a 1976 graduate of Ƶ and 1986 graduate from Cleveland State University. He holds degrees in communications and psychology, as well as an advanced degree in psychology from Temple University in 1991. He is a school psychologist, and an adjunct faculty member at Arcadia University.

“Anthony Webb is knowledgeable about the subject matter because his novel, ‘In the Garden’ deals with how a family deals with the loss of the father. The author has had a personal experience of dealing with the loss of two brothers and his parents,” Johnson said.
