Outdoor Pursuits presents: No Man’s Land Film Festival
This spring, Outdoor Pursuits and the Rec Majors Association have partnered to bring a country-wide celebration of women and gender nonconforming athletes and adventurers to Athens. No Man’s Land Film Festival (NMLFF) will be holding a screening at The Athena Cinema on Thursday, March 24, beginning at 7:30 p.m.
No Man’s Land Film Festival is the premier all-women adventure film festival based out of Denver, Colorado, that meets a need and desire to highlight and connect women in pursuit of the radical. According to its website, “the goal of this festival is to connect like-minded individuals who are action-oriented, wish to support a shared vision of gender equality, have a desire to experience their passions and environments through a uniquely feminine lens, and above all, love adventure.”
Thanks to Outdoor Pursuits and the Rec Majors Association, Ƶ and Athens community members have the opportunity to participate in the festival and contribute to “undefining feminine in adventure and sport through film.”
The doors to the cinema open at 7:15 p.m. Tickets are $10 for community members and free for students with presentation of student ID. Tickets can be purchased at the door, and additional information can be found online at .
