OHIO Online Course Registration & Textbooks
1.) Know What Courses You Need
Locate, Refresh, and Review your Degree Audit Report Summary (DARS). The first step in preparing your schedule is to locate and refresh your DARS. You may do this through your on the bottom right where it says My DARS. Your DARS will show the remaining classes that you will need to take to fulfill your degree requirements. Learn step by step how to register for courses.
Look for the Missing Requirements. The areas listed in red font are the areas not completed; the areas listed in green font are completed. If there is a minus (-) sign beside a subsection, then you need to fulfill a requirement in that area. If there is a plus (+) sign beside a subsection, then you are finished with that area.

Find Your Transfer Credit
If you have prior college credits that you are transferring, check your Transfer Credit Evaluation Report to make sure it鈥檚 accounted for. To locate this report, go through your , select the drop-down menu under 鈥淥ther Academic Information鈥 and select 鈥淭ransfer Credit: Report.鈥

Math Placement Test
You may require a Math Placement Test if you do not have any (or the appropriate) Math transfer credit. Please contact cas.undergrad@ohio.edu to request the Math Placement Test be added to your Canvas account.
2.) Preparing to Register
Priority Registration Time
Students will be assigned a priority registration date and time by the Office of the Registrar for fall and spring semesters (not summer). This is the first opportunity that a student has to register for courses. Students may find this date and time in their student center.
3.) Registering for eCampus Courses
There are two websites needed to successfully register for the eCampus sections of classes. Please locate and bookmark these two websites and proceed with the instructions below.
How to Search for Courses
- Step 1: Go to the
- Step 2: Choose the correct term and campus. To receive the eCampus tuition rate, be sure to select eCampus (not Online) as the campus.
- Step 3: A prompt will appear once you have checked the eCampus box. Choose Any Undergraduate Program from this dropdown to filter the classes within your program.
- Either click on the Search icon in the bottom right corner for a full list of eCampus course offerings or click on Class Information to refine your search.
- To refine search for a specific course option (such as COMS 1030), you have the option to enter the subject of the course (COMS) and the Catalog Number (1030) before selecting Search.
- To refine the search for a specific BRICKS or Tiers area, select OHIO BRICKS or Tiers and click in box next to the desired area before selecting Search.
- Step 4: A page will open that displays the courses offered.
- Step 5: Make note of the class numbers. The class numbers are necessary to register for the courses.
- Step 6: Register for the courses using the registration steps below.
How to Register for Courses

- Step 2: Locate the Academics section within My OHIO Student Center and click on Enroll.
- Step 3: Select the appropriate term and click Continue (this step is not necessary in all cases).
- Step 4: To add a course to your Shopping Cart, type its class number into the "Add to Cart 鈥 Enter Class Nbr" box and click Enter.
- Step 5: Repeat the process of entering class number and clicking enter until all your classes are loaded.
- Step 6: Once you have all the classes loaded, click Proceed to Step 2 of 3.
- Step 7: Review the classes listed to make sure they are the classes you intend to register in.
- Step 8: Read and agree to Financial Agreements by clicking on the link 蜜柚视频 Financial Agreement. Read the agreement and click I Agree to proceed with registration.
- Step 9: Click on Finish Enrolling to complete your registration.
- Step 10: View your registration results and make any changes as needed. For each class you will see either a green check mark (success: enrolled), or a red X (error: unable to add class). If you see a red X, review the message to find out why. Return to Step 4 if necessary to add another class.

Athens and Regional Campus Online Course Offerings
You may enroll in any course for which you meet the requisite; however, please keep in mind that courses offered by the Athens campus have a higher tuition rate than courses offered by the Regional Campuses and eCampus.
The Online (All Students) option can be used to supplement your schedule on an as-needed basis. Tuition and fees for regional courses are comparable to eCampus fees for residents of Ohio. Non-Ohio-residents will see added fees for Athens and regional courses and should take those into consideration when selecting courses. To view all tuition rates, please visit the Bursar鈥檚 website.
Locating your Courses in Canvas
OHIO Online courses use as the Learning Management System (LMS). Please note that courses are published by the instructor of record; therefore, each course may be published on a different date leading up to the beginning of the semester. However, all courses should be published by the first day of the semester.

Textbooks and Materials
Most 蜜柚视频 courses require textbooks and/or other materials. In order to find out whether your instructors have required textbooks, search for the course in the and click on the title of the course. Scroll down to the bottom of the expanded window to see if materials have been posted. If your instructor has posted textbooks, you may find that there may be a hard-copy or digital book available. Digital books may have opt-out instructions.
You may purchase required materials from a preferred website (e.g., Amazon, Chegg), as long as you purchase the correct edition for your course using the ISBN.
Re-enrolling Students
You must be a current 蜜柚视频 student to register. If you are a re-enrolling student who wants to return at the same academic level, please see the Re-enrolling students information on the Registrar鈥檚 page and complete the re-enrollment form.
