Green STEM Club

This unique after-school program is designed to educate and empower children in grades 1-6 about environmental conservation, climate change, STEM, and literacy. Each week, students will engage with books about the environment and participate in interdisciplinary, hands-on activities that explore environmental topics with a focus on developing STEM and literacy skills.

Green STEM Project Club is a dynamic initiative that empowers children to become environmental stewards while nurturing their love for learning. Our club, which takes place both fall and spring, is a way for us to continue our community, STEM, and literacy outreach throughout the school year. Our goal is to educate young students about the environment around them and sharpen their literacy and STEM skills.

Julie Barnhart Francis, Director of the The Stevens Literacy Center

The Fall 2025 club runs Tuesdays from Sept. 30, 2025, through Nov. 18, 2025, from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. and interested parents and guardians are encouraged to respond as soon as possible. The registration fee is $50 for all eight weeks, but registration will be ongoing, and the fee will be prorated for those who begin later. The registration fee is payable at the first meeting the child attends.

Please note: NO Green STEM Project Club during Veterans Day on November 11, 2025.

Those with any questions about the program are encouraged to contact Julie Francis.
