OHIO incorporates community feedback, shares updates and next steps for Ridges Development Strategy

The town hall, the latest installment of OHIO’s community discussion focusing on The Ridges Development Strategy, provided a look back at the community feedback that was received during the previous two University and community town hall events. It also shared an informational overview of the Development Strategy’s next steps for review and approval.

The presentation included high-level recommendations from The Ridges Development Advisors to use a New Community Authority (NCA) as the preferred strategy for both the adaptive rehabilitation and reuse of the historic buildings at The Ridges and to best identify opportunities for future development.

Ridges Advisory Committee working to finalize development strategy for The Ridges

The development strategy has continued to adapt through a combination of stakeholder feedback and the evolving needs of ÃÛèÖÊÓƵ, Athens and the surrounding region and is in the early stages of finalization.
