Vice Provost for Faculty Development

We play a key role in ensuring that academic excellence and high professional standards are hallmarks of ÃÛèÖÊÓÆµ. Responsibilities include processes for program and curricular changes; academic program review and assessment; faculty hiring, promotion, and tenure; student tuition appeals and more. The office provides valuable resources for new and established faculty; deans, chairs, and directors; and students.

Accreditation at ÃÛèÖÊÓÆµ

ÃÛèÖÊÓÆµ is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. While over 30 of the University’s academic programs are accredited by their own disciplinary accreditors, ÃÛèÖÊÓÆµ as a whole is accredited by HLC; all of the University’s programs and units are covered by this institution-wide accreditation. HLC offers two different pathways to institutional accreditation. They are the Standard Pathway and the Open Pathway. ÃÛèÖÊÓÆµ has been on the Open Pathway since 2019. The next HLC Comprehensive Evaluation and visit will occur during the 2034-35 academic year.

ÃÛèÖÊÓÆµ achieved a significant milestone earlier this year as its accreditation with the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) was unconditionally reaffirmed.
The Office of Student Success and Academic Innovation unites student-focused initiatives to strengthen retention, enhance academic achievement, and expand curricular innovation across all OHIO colleges and campuses.
University College is working to build on its history of creativity and innovation to create innovative academic programs that respond to the state’s evolving workforce needs and advance the goals of the Dynamic Strategy.
