Culinary Services Bake Sale:
Do you love the frosted sugar cookies from Culinary Services? You鈥檙e not alone! This customer favorite, along with many other baked goods, can be special ordered for pick up on December 18 or 19. With end-of-year celebrations on the horizon, you can ease the stress of the season by placing an order for your special occasion treats such as cakes and cookies. Orders must be placed by December 12.
If you prefer to make your own baked goods, we worked with Culinary Services and the WellWorks Dietitian to create a lemon sugar cookie that is reminiscent of Culinary鈥檚 famous frosted sugar cookie. Our version is simple to make, contains less saturated fat than traditional cookies and boasts a fluffy, tender texture that will satisfy your sweet tooth.
Festive Glazed Lemon Cookies
Makes 25 cookies
Cookie Ingredients:
- 4 T Butter
- 戮 cup sugar
- 1 egg + 1 egg white
- 1 录 cups flour
- 1 陆 Tablespoons nonfat dry milk
- 1 陆 Tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 录 teaspoon baking soda
- 录 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon lemon extract*
Glaze Ingredients:
- 2/3 cup powdered sugar
- 2 Tablespoons water
- 1 teaspoon lemon extract*
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Optional decorations: sprinkles, citrus peel, mini chocolate chips, crushed peppermint
Directions:
- Heat oven to 350F
- Beat butter and sugar for ~3 minutes. Note: it will be a little dry at this stage.
- Add eggs, beat an additional 3 minutes until fluffy.
- Add dry ingredients until incorporated.
- Add extracts.
- Use a 1 T cookie scoop to scoop mounds of dough onto a cooking sheet.
- Optional: Sprinkle with additional sugar
- Flatten cookie dough mounds with the bottom of a glass.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes, until just starting to brown at the edges.
- While cookies cool, make glaze by mixing together all glaze ingredients until smooth. When cookies are cool, dip the tops of the cookies into the glaze and then decorate with desired toppings.
*You can omit the lemon extract, or replace it with your preferred flavoring, to adjust the cookie's flavor profile.

Employee Free Week at WellWorks
From November 30 - December 6, 2025, WellWorks will offer one free week to current 蜜柚视频 employees who are currently not members. This is a great time to explore all that WellWorks has to offer before committing to a membership.
蜜柚视频 employees can take advantage of this free week by using one of the options below:
- Option 1: In-Person. Stop by the WellWorks front desk (Grover Center E124, Athens) during regular business hours from November 30 - December 6 and we鈥檒l help you activate your 1-week free membership!
Option 2: Online. Current 蜜柚视频 employees can log-in to the (use SSO to log-in to your employee account). Navigate to and select 鈥淥U Employee Free Week.鈥 Use coupon code FREEWEEK during checkout. This option will not appear in the portal until November 30.
Note: WellWorks regularly offers this employee Free Week. Though, this offer is only valid twice per eligible individual. If you have previously participated in Free Week more than once, this coupon code will register as invalid. After your two trial weeks, we hope you choose to join us as a Member!

Biometric Health Screenings
Appointments are available for benefits-participating employees to schedule a biometric health screening on December 4, 5, 8 and 9.
Earn $60 and get a snapshot of your health during these on-campus (Athens) screening events.

Trainer-Led Workshop at WellWorks: Feast Fit EMOM
This Thanksgiving season, treat yourself to a fitness feast at our trainer-led Feast Fit EMOM workshop!
Learn what EMOM (Every Minute On the Minute) workouts are and how to mix them into your regular routine for a fun, time-efficient challenge. You鈥檒l sample a platter of movement, get a taste of intensity, and leave feeling strong and satisfied鈥攏o leftovers required!
Come ready to move, learn, and dig into this festive fitness experience!
$10 for WellWorks members.
This session takes place on Thursday, November 20 at 4 p.m. in WellWorks (Grover Center E124, Athens).
Mindful Eating Registration Now Open
If you are ready to toss the New Year diet tradition and heal your relationship with food, this is the program for you! Facilitated by Louise Cruz RDN, LD, you will not only learn the foundations of Mindful Eating in this 6-module program, but also how to use these concepts when eating for your best health, eating out, and meal planning. You will look at the reasons why you eat and gain the tools, skills, and support you need to avoid emotional eating. You will learn to listen to your body鈥檚 cues and how to best respond them. This updated program is packed with new information, research, and fun!
The class will meet virtually via Teams from 12-1PM on the following 2026 dates: Jan 23, Jan 30, Feb 6, Feb 13, Feb 20, Feb 27, March 6
Sleep and Rest Program Registration Now Open
This program aims to: encourage self-reflection, improve sleep hygiene and highlight various sleep intervention options available to benefits-eligible 蜜柚视频 employees and their spouse/partners.
Throughout this 8-week course, participants will hear from local experts on a variety of topics in relationship to sleep. Participants will be asked to engage in self-reflection through a self-assessment and some gentle sleep journaling or reflection. Additionally, participants are expected to participate in weekly cohort meeting (Wednesdays at noon via Teams, October 1 鈥 November 19). These reflection and educational opportunities will allow participants to better identify the interventions that may work best for their well-being. During the final session, participants will determine if they have seen any improvements in their sleep and, if they are still struggling, learn about how to find medical intervention through University benefits.
The class will meet virtually via Teams from 12-1PM on Wednesdays, January 14 - March 4.
Triathlon Training 2026
Join us for Triathlon Training to jump-start your health and wellness goals in the new year! Triathlon Coach Bill Hauschild will help prepare your bodies and minds for the triathlon season.
This 14-week class incorporates some short lectures on how to properly prepare for and navigate a triathlon. The class meets once a week and alternates between swim, bike, and run workouts. Along with weekly classes, your class registration includes a progressive 14-week physical training program to help you get into top shape.
Registration for this offering will open Dec 1, 2025.
Training begins January 20.
