Louise Cruz RDN, LD is a Licensed and Registered Dietitian with a broad range of experience working in hospitals, nursing homes, clinics and private practice.
Louise earned her B.S degree in Food and Nutrition from Framingham State University in MA in 2000. She worked for University of Massachusetts Nutrition Extension Program, then moved on to explore private practice and WIC. In 2004, she moved to North Carolina, where she worked as an out patient dietitian, opened her own practice and worked for the prison system. In 2011, Louise began working in food service and management in Texas.
Louise joined the WellWorks and HeartWorks teams in 2021, where she supports our members and clients through nutrition counseling, group education and nutrition support.
Sessions can be purchased online through the WellWorks or in person at our Front Desk (Grover Center E124). Anyone can create a free account on the portal to be able to place an online purchase.
*Students must provide their PID# when purchasing their session. Each PID# will be verified and if eligibility cannot be verified, the client's funds will be reimbursed and the client will be asked to purchase a non-student session, instead.

WellWorks offers support to employees, students and community members, regardless of your location. Louise Cruz, Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Licensed Dietitian accommodates both in-person and virtual nutrition counseling appointments.
In order to streamline your counseling experience, clients must first a counseling session before receiving the link to schedule an appointment. The steps for making an online purchase of counseling sessions are provided below. You can also make your purchase in-person at the WellWorks front desk (Grover Center E124, Athens).
Log In to the Member Portal.
Purchase your preferred sessions.
Choose from 60-minute initial sessions, 30-minute follow-up sessions and bundles for both students and non-students. Students must show PID at time of appointment.
Schedule your appointment.
You will be emailed your purchase receipt and a link to our online scheduling tool. Use this scheduler to select your preferred time.
Sessions default to virtual via Teams. If you prefer to meet in-person (Grover Center Athens), please type "in person" in the notes section of the calendar request.

Sessions are good for one year from the date of purchase, with no extensions, transfers or refunds if we still offer the service. Please review our Policies for additional details about purchasing services from WellWorks.
