This page is for Athens campus undergraduate students to sign up for Bobcat Student Orientation. Please review the additional information on our website about the program before signing up (First-Year / Transfer / Family and Guest).

Eligibility to Sign Up
When signing up for your session, you will choose an available date and also indicate if any family members or guests intend to participate in BSO with you. Students are required to participate in all sessions that are part of the program in order to register for classes at orientation, so be sure to clear your schedule and plan to fully participate in all elements of the program. You'll need your OHIO email address and password to access the form below. If you haven't already activated your OHIO ID and campus email address, follow the instructions on the .
First-Year Students: The deadline to sign up for Bobcat Student Orientation was June 30, 2025, and we are now accepting sign-up requests from Athens freshmen only as space permits. Please contact Undergraduate Admissions at 740.593.4100 for assistance with requesting access to sign up for Bobcat Student Orientation.
Transfer students are eligible to sign up for their orientation session once they have officially been admitted to ÃÛèÖÊÓƵ and have been cleared through the Required Pre-enrollment Discipline and Criminal History Review process.

Bobcat Student Orientation Dates
For All First-year, Transfer, and International Students Admitted for Spring 2026
Orientation for all students entering in Spring 2026 is a one-day program on January 9th from 8 am- 5pm. Students are expected to be in attendance for the duration of the program. This date is available for all students from all Majors. The deadline to sign up for this program is January 4th, 2026.
For All First-year, Transfer, and International Students Admitted for Summer or Fall 2026
Orientation dates for these groups will take place in the Summer of 2026 and official dates have not yet been announced. Please check back for updates or contact Orientation@ohio.edu to ask when these may be available.

Before entering the sign-up portal, please review the information about program dates and the orientation fees page. The deadline to sign up for Spring Bobcat Student Orientation is January 30.
How to Sign Up for BSO
To sign up for BSO, log in to your applicant status portal using the email address you provided on your application and the password you created. Head to your Admitted Student Checklist, where you'll find a BSO checklist item. Use the link in the BSO checklist item to navigate to the sign-up form. You'll answer a few questions about yourself (and any guests you're bringing) to help us plan for your orientation experience!
