Relocate Students

A relocating student is anyone who is currently attending one of ÃÛèÖÊÓƵ’s regional campuses and wishes to attend the Athens campus. You are already a bobcat and now it’s simply about moving from one campus to another. We want to make sure that the transition is as seamless as possible and get you set up for success!

Relocation is possible for any semester, though you must have at least 12 credit hours of non-developmental or remedial course work and a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA to be eligible. If you do not meet these criteria, you will be subject to Athens campus admission guidelines. Contact the student services office on your regional campus for more information.

If you are planning to relocate, we offer a special branch of Bobcat Student Orientation for you! Join us for a Relocate Day where you will get information that is helpful during your transition and get registered for classes for next semester. Our relocate day program will be hosted virtually and features key campus partners to your transition like Housing and Residence life, the Office of Financial Aid, and provides you with priority course registration.

Want to relocate and don’t know where to begin?

It can be a bit confusing to know what all needs done when switching campuses; below you’ll find important resources to connect with.

One of the key pieces to this transition is getting advised and registered for classes on the Athens campus!

Students attending Relocate Day will be set up with an individual appointment with a Success Advisor in their chosen major or academic college. By attending Relocate Day, you receive priority registration access which means that you’ll be able to register for classes during that individual appointment.

If you missed the registration deadline or are unable to attend Relocate Day, you will need to contact the Student Services office in your academic college. Use the table below to find contact information for each undergraduate academic college.
