Partnership for Community-Based Prevention (P4CBP)

The Programmatic Partnership for Community-Based Prevention (P4CBP) is a dedicated group of professionals working collaboratively to address the issues Ohio’s communities are facing related to behavioral health prevention and promotion.

The partnership consists of Voinovich School faculty and professional staff who are trained in a variety of disciplines: public health, social work, health education, prevention, communications, and sociology. In addition, a cadre of undergraduate Voinovich Research Scholars and other student employees contribute meaningfully to the work. The partnership draws extensively upon the rich array of resources offered by ÃÛèÖÊÓƵ – information technology, libraries, research & sponsored programs, and finance & administration.

We recognize that the issues we work on are complex and no single entity or organization can address them alone. As such, much of the work is accomplished through external partnerships at the national, state and local level including governmental public service entities, nonprofit organizations, behavioral health providers, behavioral health membership associations, and other institutions of higher education.

    OHYES! Survey

The Ohio Healthy Youth Environments Survey (OHYES!) asks questions about substance use, social climate, and other behaviors and experiences that pose a risk to youth wellness, and those that help to protect it. The goal is to empower high-impact change by uncovering student needs at the local level. Using these insights, we can learn where Ohio students are thriving and build on what works. This data can also enable schools to track changes in student health and safety over time. The Voinovich School supports the State of Ohio's efforts to implement and analyze this survey.
