Graduate Courses in Classics & Religious Studies

While the Department of Classics and Religious Studies (CARS) is a strictly undergraduate department, we do offer some courses for graduate students.

Classics & Religious Studies Courses

Since 2003, when the Classics department became 鈥淐lassics and World Religions,鈥 we have offered five types of courses: CLAR (Classical Archaeology), CLAS (Classics in Translation), CLWR (Classics: World Religions), GK (Greek), and LAT (Latin). Since 2022, all classes except Greek and Latin will be CARS classes.

  • To search for CARS courses in the University Catalog, select "Classics and Religious Studies" under Class Information section in the Subject dropdown. You can also check the "graduate" box to further filter the options.
  • To search for Greek or Latin courses in the University Catalog, select "Greek (GK)" or "Latin (LAT)" in the Class Information section in the Subject dropdown. You can also check the "graduate" box to further filter the options.
