For Makayla Schrader, a Classics major, studying in the heart of Greece through the College Year in Athens (CYA) program was nothing short of transformative, bringing her face-to-face with the world she has spent years studying.

Schrader’s passion for ancient history and her academic dedication drove her to seize every opportunity Greece has to offer. Through her dedication to her studies, she gained valuable opportunities to visit monuments and historical sites and hands-on learning and mentorship from her professors.
