The Departmental Honors program in Classics & Religious Studies offers high-achieving juniors and seniors the opportunity to design and complete an advanced research or writing project under the mentorship of a full-time faculty member.
Classics & Religious Studies Undergraduate Programs
Classics and Religious Studies offers three bachelor's degree programs and multiple minors and certificates through which students can develop skills in critical thinking, analysis and research. There is an additional major in Classics and Religious Studies offered for students in the Honors Tutorial College.
Student in Classics and Religious Studies academic tracks have the flexibility to study broadly or focus on areas of special interest such as archaeology, ancient history and literature, religions or languages.

Classical CivilizationIn the Classical Civilization major you'll explore ancient Mediterranean cultures through literature, art, archaeology, religion and history and gain new perspectives on timeless human themes like love, war, family and spiritual beliefs.

HTC Classics and ReligiousThe Honors Tutorial College offers two distinct tracks: Classical Languages and Literature or Classical Civilization. Both tracks share core tutorial and non-tutorial courses in Greek, Latin, archaeology, civilization and humanities, and ancient history.
